This is a calligraphic composition for class. It was based on the Arts and Crafts movement of the 1880's.

We needed to have some sort of icon or symbol that could represent what our phrase was about. Here we not only have the "L" surronded by ornaments, but here we have the "u" at the end appearing to be two lovers holding hands.

The ornament shaping a heart ended up being a very appealing design, so I decided to exploit it as far as I could into any materials available for me. For instance: a glass bottle.

And paper bags to give to someone along with a present inside.
