Al Afiya Global LLC is a tire recycling company based in Muscat, Oman with a stockpile of 20,000 tons of waste tires of all sizes. Al Afiya produces high quality waste tire scrap (mix of all sizes) through mechanical separation and processing of tire components. The company is currently in the process of expanding into pyrolysis based recycling of rubber.
After being taken over, the new owners wanted to refresh the company's visual identity to mark the milestone. We based the new logo on the old one by keeping the stylized letter 'A', and introduced a circular symbol to resemble a tire and reference the word 'global' at the same time. The stylized letter 'A' and the tire/globe symbol are put in such a relation that the logo can be interpreted as if the tire is being cut through - cutting being an integral part of the recycling process. In the context of recycling (protecting the environment) and the word 'afiyah' (Arabic: العافية) which means health, safety, and protection from harmful objects, we decided to keep the green from the previous logo but modernize the overall color scheme.
