It is through the world of collages that artist Lauro Samblás explores geometry saturated with colors and the emotion that light evokes. For the Adobe Remix Project, he created an art installation that features the creation process itself. A process in which he developed and worked with pictorial, sculptural and audiovisual elements. Lauro recreated a seemingly digital world that was generated manually as a reflection of today’s need to take a step back and reclaim materials such as paper, pencils, paints, and many other analog things as an attempt to create contemporary designs, which often arise from within computer technologies. His goal is to find a balance between the digital and the analog world. Emotions, dreams and positive energy are key concepts that are reflected in Lauro’s work.
The Adobe Remix Project is a re-interpretation of the Adobe logo, transported by Lauro into his paper realm. It’s a collage of elements that fuse to form a sculpture where branding and art go hand in hand to discover a new language of communication.
The Sculpture was first showcased during the OFFF Festival in Barcelona (06-08 April 2017) and then traveled to the D&AD Conference in London (25-27 April 2017).
