The creative inspiration for this Gala was based on the novel The Night Circus.

I designed the Save The Date to be a z-fold, die cut, circus tent landscape. It folded down to fit into a #10 envelope. The Invitation was an envelope designed to look like a magic top hat full of playing cards. The hat was printed on the face of a pocket envelope with a die cut slit on the inside lip of the top hat. The cards are visually hidden at first glance - the top of the card matches the inside of the top hat - so there is a reveal when the cards are pulled out.   

Both pieces were printed on uncoated Cougar card stock, using a double bump black ink with an aqueous coat for a saturated black and spot red.
