Luxury Wedding of Neil Nitin Mukesh in Mumbai
Neil Nitin Mukesh and Rukhmini Sahay tied the knot on the 9th of February in a luxurious royal wedding in Mumbai. The wedding extravaganza started way before with pre-wedding events and gala celebrations. The engagement and cocktail party was held on 7th February followed by Mehendi on the 8th whereas the reception was held on the 17th February in Mumbai.
The bride and groom were surrounded with notable friends and family from the Bollywood and beyond. This wedding was surely a star-studded event.
Among the hundreds of elements in the wedding that left us in amazement, the wedding couture of the bride and groom tops the list. Set against the breathtaking views of Udaipur, the bespoke wedding attire of both Neil and Rukhmini were oozing with royalty and charisma. There were major well-known designers working on this wedding who put great thought into making each piece that the couple adorned. The dresses were distinct and unique defined by bold cuts and summery colors. The wedding wardrobe of the couple was a mix of both east and west with kurta, sherwani, Party Wear Lehenga and bridal dress on one hand and suit and indo-western gown on the other hand. Each piece was unique and stunning.
Sarath Krishnan was the designer for both the bride and groom’s dresses on the wedding. Neil wore a deep red and off-white anarkali styled kurta sherwani with intricate handwork which made him look classy and regal. Rukhmini on the other hand chose a stunning bright red Bridal Lehenga Choli with traditional jewelry and hairdo. Both were a vision!
For the cocktail Neil’s attire was a classy bespoke suit in grey tailored with perfection and had customized elements added to it which complemented Rukhmini’s attire. Rukhmini looked ethereal in a custom made Victorian inspired lilac gown with Swarovski crystal work and embellishments at the trail of the gown. The couple looked dapper!
Krishna Mehta was the designer for the Mehendi attire. Neil wore a classic kurta vest made with exquisite silk. Pink was the dominating color with orange gold embroidery perfectly complemented the look. He sure looked like a Rajasthani prince! Rukhmini’s look was also inspired from Rajasthan, with a traditional Lehenga, dupatta and blouse with intricate gota work. Rukhmini complemented the pastel green Party Wear Lehenga Choli with floral jewelry and beaded maatha patti.
The couple chose to wear matching velvet bottle green outfits with intricate gold work on the wedding reception. Neil wore a stunning velvet sherwani which made him look even more handsome than he already is. Rukhmini on the other hand adorned a stunning traditional velvet green Bridal Lehenga Choli with tied up hairdo.
Though wedding was a family affair but the wedding reception was turned into a star-studded event where a galaxy of Bollowood celebrities attended the ceremony such as Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Amitabh Bachan and wife, Bipasha Basu and more. Guests came out looking their best in perfectly tailored suits and sherwani, colorful Party Wear Lehengas and traditional sarees. This wedding certainly is one of the major highlights this year.
