Arunachal Pradesh: Branding

Creating an identity for an Indian state which included branding, developing a visual language, and extending that into a set of collaterals as souvenirs. The state selected for this project was Arunachal Pradesh.

The final frontier of Indian tourism, virginal Arunachal Pradesh shows up as a giant patch of unexplored green on the country’s map. The state, whose name means Land of the Dawn-Lit Mountains in Sanskrit, is the largest among the North-east Indian states commonly known as the Seven Sisters.

The purpose of a line such as ‘The adventure awaits’, rather than something that speaks about the specific characteristics of the state was to create curiosity in the minds of the people who read it.

This line was also kept in order to represent the fact that Arunachal Pradesh is the least visited state in India, and also the one with the least population density. This means that unlike other destinations where everything has already been seen and done, the possibilities in Arunachal Pradesh are endless and unexplored, and the adventure of the state truly awaits.
