The MTB goggle project was intended to be the market's first truly MTB specific goggle rather than a merely modified Moto goggle. The smaller frame size and closer proximity to the face crated a significant improvement in weight and field of view. Additional key features included:
• Spherical Lens: Since tear-offs and roll-offs aren't necessary for MTB, optical correction can be possible in both vertical and horizontal directions, unlike the cylindrical lens on a moto goggle.
• "Comfort" Lens - Unlike Moto, MTB riders often transition in and out of shadows due to tree coverage. A dual wavelength-filtered lens offers better contrast in the shadows without compromising protection against the sun.
• "Powder Puff" - A moisture wicking, felt-like face fleece offers unparallelled comfort and wetness protection without sacrificing grip on the skin. Test riders have unanimously preferred this material over anything currently available on the market.
• Foam Membrane - The biggest complaint for sweaty goggles is dripping perspiration from the brow into the eyes. This happens after the foam is saturated. This problem is addressed with a moisture wicking membrane bonded to the underside of the top foam causing perspiration to be channeled to the sides rather than dripping directly into the eyes.
