The brief for this project was to design the equilvalent of an A2 infographic poster on a global issue. I chose to design a series of four posters, giving information on nuclear accidents, that often have effects that are felt globally.
The four infographic posters, 400mm x 400mm, give facts and information on four different nuclear accidents: Chernobyl, Fukushima, Three Mile Island and Kyshtym. The purpose behind these posters was to put the facts and figures into a clear context that makes the information easy for everyone to understand, even if they had no knowledge of the subject beforehand.
The icons are made in Adobe Illustrator, the photography was edited in Adobe Photoshop, and the posters were put together and made in Adobe Indesign.
The set of posters are tied together by the similar style and layout, with centred titles and large images in the lower section. The lines in the bottom left of each poster correspond to the severity of the event, based on the International Nuclear Event Scale. The posters are distinguished by the simple, primary colour scheme. The titles are in Cornerstone and the subtitles and body copy are in Moon, both available for free on Behance.
Thank you and I hope you enjoy!
