ANALOG INSTANTS | a day at the seaside

A Day at the Seaside.

Short weekend at the seaside, brought with me my grandpa's '64 Pentax Spotmatic.
View in an old street of Albisola, a small seaside city in Italy, where time seems always to go slower.

Early morning light cutting through the window on the train.
These children were playing around at the beach, and suddenly the little boy on the left took the stick and started waving it, watching the horizon. In his mind, he was watching the Titanic crossing the waves.
Stolen shot from a couple walking along the pier.
Anybody would fall asleep listening to the calm sound of the sea.
Another young boy playing with the sand. His concentrated expression and his moves make him look like he's about to start a running competition.
Classic golden hour portraits, to shoot the last frames of the roll. Used a 50mm and a 135 mm, and the differences on the face and the bokeh are evident.
All photos were shot with an Asahi Pentax Spotmatic, an Asahi Pentax SMC 50mm f/1.4 and a Zeiss Sonnar Jena 135mm f/3.5.

Thanks to Lomography for creating the amazing roll of F² 400 ISO I used.

Developed and negative scanned at RTP fotografia, Via Carlo Alberto 11, Turin.
