Located in Cruz Quebrada it is the largest sports complex in the country. It congregates several sports infrastructures: cross track, Olympic-size swimming pool, golf training centre, Faculty of Human Kinetics (Faculdade de Motricidade Humana), training centre, Estádio de Honra or Stadium of Honor (football and athletics), tennis courts and canoeing track. Jamor Sports Complex (Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor) offer a wide variety of sports.
Located in a densely forested area, this is a location that conjugates envitonmental factors, the practice of sports and the beauty of the landscape, where anyone can practice sports or simply take a walk.
If you're into sports, Oeiras is the ideal municipality for a holiday, to live in, to spend the weekends or simply to enjoy as much as your sporty heart desires. Known for supporting the pratice of sports, Oeiras has been diversifying its sports infrastructures offer. For the last three decades, the municipality has given great importance to sports and even started to so before anyone else did. It all started with Running. It was a low cost sport that only required willingness. The Municipality started by organising races and, at the same time, by promoting the practice of that sport at the local schools. Three decades were all it took for the sport to become part of the DNA of any citizen of Oeiras. Really, the Jamor Sports Complex is situated in the right place.
Some of our sports events are now mythical, so much so that the registrations for some of them run out pretty quickly. Events such as the Coastal Road by Night (Marginal à Noite), the Tagus Race (Corrida do Tejo) and the Bessone Basto Crossing (Travessia Bessone Basto) are only a few of the many that take place each year. The areas available for the practice of sports are varied, from the Seaside Promenade (Passeio Marítimo) to the Jamor Sports Complex, along with a multiplicity of smaller facilities.
The Jamor Galeria is also a book. This book collects the best unpublished photographs related to the Jamor Sports Complex.
The Jamor Galeria logo has two main official designs designed by Laetitea (www.laetitea.tel) specifically for the company. The two logos include the Jamor insignia. The Jamor Galeria logo dates from 2016. Laetitea is an film director, producer and creative director, but she is also a graphic designer in very special situations. The trademark is noted below the logo.
