The Cotton Exchange was a temporary installation to welcome visitors and developers to the ground-breaking of the revitalization efforts taking place in historic downtown Shreveport. Concept design of the main stage is 8' Tall by 16' and the canopy's are 5' tall X 3' Square, made of reclaimed wood, painted foam, light vinyl, and painted canvas. It is inspired by Grant Wood's piece, "American Gothic."
The Louisiana Cotton Exchange is a newly proposed Entertainment, Art, and Food cul de sac located in Shreveport’s newly developing cultural district, “The Shreveport Common.” - Downtown’s newest oldest “uncommon” place designed as Shreveport’s first Cultural Community, an intimate 9-block urban Arts Community built, and rebuilt, on Authenticity, Community, Creativity and Sustainability
