linz is going to have a new motorway -- A26. the exhibition, which is held at the old town hall in linz, conveys the construction process, as well as environmental and technical issues. therefore i have been entrusted with the development and the implementation of the graphical concept of the exhibition. the A26 finds its way through the mountains (tunnels) and above ground, crossing two bridges. thereby it represents a continuous horizon line, which connects every level. the concept considers the horizontal line just as the re-enactment of typical traffic regulations e.g. an expansive installation of a traffic pylon. there are formal and functional aspects of road markings, that are being interpreted visually. an individually designed lettering has been used to guide through the exhibition.in cooperation with alexander egger, katharina borozan, manfred hlina, eva-maria frey and mike leithner -- for nofrontiere design, vienna.
