Statoil Fuel & Retail Headquarters Oslo

Statoil Fuel & Retail, now Cirkle K, is one of Norway's largest retailers in the fuel and convenience store industry, with gas stations all over Norway. Their move to a new build down town Oslo, offered an opportunity to rebrand the offices and incorporate a strong visual identity throughout the interiors. Many glass walls and a high demand for privacy during meetings meant that window film was one of the best medias for displaying their identity, in addition to photographic wallpaper. The visual concept was divided into three sub categories, retail products, "on the road" and presence in countries outside of Norway. In the workspaces we worked with perspectives in roads through beautiful Norwegian landscapes, highlighting road markings for an interesting graphic effect, and tuning hues and tones to create a complete expression. In the conference centre we focused on presence in other countries, using images that were easy to connect to the country in question and also working with the colours to tie together all the photographs. In social areas we focused on retail products, and displaying them in a very graphic and almost abstract way, such as close ups of coffee dripping or a windshield covered in soap and brushes as you drive through the car wash. I was involved with selecting and tuning all the imagery, even contributing with some photographs of my own, and furthermore developing the visual identity of Statoil Fuel & Retail in a matter that could survive a change of brand.

This project was designed under Metropolis arkitektur & design AS.
