The name of project is inspired in the goddess of Mother Earth, the personification of the earth and fecundity, a goddess of caves and mountains, walls and fortresses, nature and animals (especially lions and bees), for which she also received the Title "Lady of the Animals".

The logo is inspired in the source of Cibeles (better known by Madrid residents as La Cibeles) is a monumental source of the city of Madrid, located in the square of the same name, in the center of the Spanish capital.

It was conceived within a plan of urban remodeling in the eighteenth century, on the initiative of King Carlos III, who planned to beautify the capital of the kingdom according to the aesthetics of Neoclassicism. The project included a series of sculpted fountains with classical mythological motifs (Fountain of Neptune, Fountain of Apollo), a Museum of Natural Sciences (now the Prado Museum).
