Dwelling is a form of existing for people in space. We need to understand characteristic of human beings and how they behave in space. People have lived as a group for a long time. It creates a community, and it was a way to survive. We still live as a group like a family or society. Because of this fact, I wonder what the meaning of dwelling is these days in terms of being a member of a family. There are many types of families, and the types increase by social needs. As our world keeps being changed, social needs are also changed. Does space where we are living fit our needs? These days, single parent families increase, and they are not only in financial difficulties, but also in communication issues between a parent and a child. In addition, single parent parents spend less time with their children since they can't work and take care of their children at the same time. Their children also spend lots of time alone, and it affects their emotional development. Making space to solve these issues is the purpose of this project. To solve problems that single parent families have, I focus on interchangeable space which people can share their space with neighborhoods. One three-story residential housing has 16 units, and residents can exchange space by using movable walls. There is a communication space between units on each floor, and the first floor is public space for commercial use.
