Thesis project​​​​​​​
The thesis was born from the desire to investigate the controversial issue of the addiction to the Internet and to the new digital technologies.
It focuses on the changes they have introduced in our daily life, more specifically, on a specific aspect of the matter:
the human propensity to multitasking behavior.
Hence, I created Smart Wars, a board game where players compete to see which of them is more multitasking, while reflecting on the positive
and negative aspects of their digital habits. This project is not intended to be a final word on what is right or wrong, it rather suggests
that a balanced use of the devices may be a path for a more conscious and better life.

The project proposal I have submitted is a game that aims to make the individuals of the so-called Generation Y
(digital natives currently between 20 and 29 years old) become aware of the issue of the addiction to digital devices.
The project shows as well that using the smartphone and conducting other tasks simultaneously can lead to a loss of efficiency and effectiveness.
