A few months ago, we expressed our interest in National Library

We initially analysed the long brief given but we soon started
determining our own goals.
determining our own goals.
— We went for uniqueness, simplicity, strength yet flexibility.
In our quest to achieve these qualities, we began with one of the
strongest linear patterns in history, meandrous. This approach
has, of course, been far from a sterile mimetism. We rather emphasized
on the design principles that inspired us to seek tempo, continuity, proportion
and scalability in our proposal and allowed for a logotype delicately
incorporating the greek design vocabulary that we sought after, given
the nature of the project.

— The logo can be also perceived as a pile of books or shelves and
a perspicacious observer can discover the greek letters ΕΒ (epsilon-beta)
of Εθνική Βιβλιοθήκη (National Library). The proposed logotype is robust
in every application yet utterly flexible, optimally adapting in both physical
and digital design.
— The primary colour of the proposal is the blue, commonly
found on leather book covers and widely associated with Greece.

In our branding proposal we supplementary included a mobile application
capable of untangling the National library from its physical substance
thus ensuring its transmission into the 21st century, a broader audience
and an open, personalised, channel to communicate with it.
