EKO - First Edit
My mentor NIck MIller at Aardman Animations made a very good point about stark black and white actually being quite hard to look at for a prolonged period of time. So I have tried to ease it with hints of orange which actually helps bring the whole thing to life and adds atmosphere too.
With the dialogue recorded I started lip syncing and adding more detail such as eye movements etc.
Elizabeth Isaacs doing VO for eko and car lady.
Angus Brown doing vo for one of the soldiers.
Jamie Wilson VO for soldier
My son Raphael Fung assisting in the dialogue studio and taking photos.
Midway through replacing animatics with After Effects work.
Production in After Effects on a Microsoft Surface Pro 4. Output using HAP Codec.
Replacing animatic with production work.
Recording various electronic noises for the giant mech robots which also have a bit of a lion roar.
Final MECH design in Cinema 4D. I wanted to go for a more chunky leg and feet design. Also the gun as a sphere off to the side.
