Inspired by the congestive environment of the urban space, this drawing explores the contrast of atmosphere between the exterior and the interior space. The background lines represent the intersection of busy and complex nature. For instance, they would represent the direction of each individual person walking or the cars or other living features like insects or birds. The alternating lines suggest movement of this environment.
I seek to compound imagery that reference two contrasting atmospheres. Therefore the section of the building portrays a calm atmosphere of the interior space, shown by using clean lines and soft tone of the furniture and the structure. From the section being the central aspect, details in the perspectives and the floor plan is reinforced. The composition allows it to relate all of these aspects and make it a singular drawing and reveals parts of the building.
