Urban City Guides
Alternative guide to Edinburgh City Centre.
This project was our final year project where we were asked to write our own brief with no limitations. For this project I decided to combine my love of publishing design, photography and the City of Edinburgh.

The breif was as follows;

"To design and publish a new Edinburgh City guide, to appeal to the more design conscious.
The idea is to create a guide book/brochure for the City of Edinburgh which is aimed at people with interests in design, architecture, art and music. The guide should be designed in a way which steers clear of the stereotypical guide books such as the ‘lonely planet’ and ‘rough guide’ series."

The final product combines photography (film and digital) and good design which appeals to a more design concious audience. As well as being aesthetically pleasing the guide is also practical, being a small size which also includes a handy fold out map.
