Industrial Design
This set of candle holders were designed while doing an exploration of endemic materials during a workshop with Designo Patagonia.
It was based in an activity where endemic materials where gathered and then assigned to each group of designers.
The materials that where given to us was Marble (high density), Wood (medium density), and Tule (a natural fiber used for crafts, low density).
The Tule is usually associated with craft and low budget objects, unlike Marble that is linked with luxury. The combination of these two perceptions of the materials propose a new dialogue.
The result was a set of candleholders that blend the different aesthetic properties of each material, creating an interesting composition of forms and textures.
