USPS wanted to reach internet retailers that were not in the mail channel (pure play e-tailers) to promote the value of catalogs, that by adding a catalog to their marketing efforts they could take their business to the next level of sophistication and ultimate business growth. We took the statistic that twice as many online purchases are made by catalog recipients, and developed the creative using a set of identical twins surrounded by catalogs and ordering online. The outbound brochure had large statistics and mini-catalog covers, each opening to a testimonial. A strong CTA with a removable BRM to send for the free DVD, and attend the webinar, completed the brochure.

The fulfillment piece used the doubling twins again, showing all the stuff they bought. The DVD popped up when the piece was opened.

The mailings did well, with a 2.15% response rate, and high webinar attendance.
