Create a Rough-Cut Video (Mastery Learning Project)
I had to create a 30 seconds video montage to promote a charitable event concert. This was phase one of a two-part design. Phase one required me to organize my contents for the video. Music implementation was also explored during this process. I chose iMovie to create my rough-cut video. I incorporated several pictures that related to my final moodboard. This assignment focused on several learning strategies about creating a video montage. I had to assume the role of an editor. Therefore, I had to craft a storyline that reflected the brand’s identity. This assignment also allowed me to explore how pacing. timing, and issues of ethics effects videos. The overall goal of this assignment was organizing and combining my content. This phase allowed me to see how visuals, audio, pacing, timing and transitions work together in a video.
