Theirworld is an organization that promotes early childhood development for children ages 0-5 all over the world, but especially
in developing countries. 85% of your brain is formed during those first five years, so raising awareness and funding is critical. 

To help the children who were affected by the Nepal earthquake, RAIN, in partnership with Freelance Societ and VEHICLEvr, created a VR experience that allowed viewers to experience first hand the struggles that they're going through, inviting them to donate, share and affect change where it matters most. 

When disaster strikes, we're usually met with arial "disaster porn" shots, removed from the people on the ground. Frankly, we're numb to these kinds of images. We used VR, because it allowed you to look the children in the face through a series of vignettes from their lives. Instead of sadness, you see resilience, tenacity, joy and growth. Telling their story in this way imbues technology with humanity, empathy and compassion.
