This poster was designed for a campaign to promote awareness about the issue of the lack male domestic violence shelters in Canada. In my research one of the most shocking things I discovered is that there are 0 male only shelters. This was astounding to me because I could not believe that so many people working to help female victims could be so narrow minded to ignore the needs of male victims. 

     I wanted my poster to show two victims of different genders in the same situation to make the point that these people are equally in need, the only difference is that one of them has an existing support system and one of them doesn't. It is my hope that this will shock others as much as it did me and encourage them to support efforts to increase resources for male victims.
