Moshi Monsters greetings cards and set-building

These are greetings cards designs produced in association with Mind Candy based on their ‘Moshi Monsters’ children’s game characters. They required set-building, photography and character integration all done by myself and are designed to maximise the impact of being printed with a 3D ‘lenticular’ production process.
Initially, the ‘Katsuma’ character plush was photographed with each body part at the correct angle in order for it to later be composed into its jumping pose. It was left in tact, no plush animals were harmed in this project.
Artificial grass, a plasticine sun and cotton wool clouds were combined with trees and plants made from ‘Sculpey’ which were then hand painted with acrylics. The components were not made to scale with each other as the intention was always to compose all the elements together in Photoshop. All elements were then individually photographed ensuring the lighting conditions were identical for each. The elements were then composed in Photoshop where depth of field, shadows, and extra grass were added in order to ‘ground’ the elements.
The final images.
