Ice Maiden- A Styled Photoshoot

This is a journey taken by an Ice Maiden, where she
unknowingly lands herself in a cold, foreign land.
Undeterred by the unfamiliarity of this land, she sets out
to explore it while embracing the unknown.

The main idea for ‘Ice Maiden’ was to involve not only still sets but also one that involved movement. The beauty in the moon's phases is not new to one, but re-representing the moon's rotation through light-and-shadow play is an interesting take. Also, the moon has a long-standing association with mystique and fantasy, which was ideal for an "Ice Maiden" photo shoot.

One notable aspect of this set-up: the backdrop of the photo shoot featured a lodged crescent wooden cut-out – it can be opened to the desired degree for light to pass through, illuminating the area around it, creating an illusion of a "moon".

All set props, as well as carpentry works were conceptualized and made by Spellbound, led by Regina Ng and under the supervision by Anna Lim (Creative Director).
