If you've ever been to South India, you wouldn't fail to notice these "Rakshasa" faces people put outside their homes. This is done with a belief that it safeguards the house from bad luck. I personally don't follow any superstitious belief but I had always been fascinated by these faces. Each one of these masks is painted with bright colours and can be found sold on the streets. What's also really interesting about them is that they are made to look villainous yet appear whimsical. The variety of shapes and colours used to represent the same character inspired me to do something on it.

Rakshasa

A fun project on the Rakshasa (demon) face, I worked on during my free time.
