Organized by 500 Startups, Geeks on a Plane is an invite-only tour for startups, investors, and executives to learn about high-growth technology markets worldwide.
Between March 19th and 23rd, Lagos, Nigeria would be hosting GOAP. Syracuse Digital - a digital marketing agency in Lagos that I work for, happen to be one of the facilators/partners for the GOAP Lagos Tour. The following images are creatives I worked during the course of the tour.
Firstly, I designed a brochure or tour guide which would be shared with the Geeks, sponsors and partners to serves as a schedule of all the events and places they would be attending/visiting in Lagos. The image on the cover is a vector illustration of one of the landmarks in Lagos - the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge.
I also had to design an e-invite for one of the events, a Townhall meeting at Silicon yaba, Lagos. This e-invite was forwarded to delegates and top players in the Nigerian tech ecosystem.
For consistency's sake, I had to stick with original illustrations and the Geeks On A Plane colour scheme as well as fonts and brand elements.
Just below is another invite for another event - a farewell garden dinner hosted by the US Consulate in Nigeria.
Again, just below is another invite (sort of) for another event - a tour of Andela Nigeria in Lagos.
I also designed event tags for various categories of participants - Geeks, Team Members, Guests, Speakers etc. Just below is a mockup of the Geeks' event tag.
Roll-up banners were also needed at the events so..
