Reconstruction of segmental bone defects remains a great clinical challenge to date. Bone allograft transplantation is frequently applied, despite the high rate of complications associated with the necrotic state of allograft bone. The principal aim of this thesis was to study techniques to augment bone graft angiogenesis and osteogenesis.
