Vrystad
This series of photographs relate the stories of towns in the Free State.
Each town has a unique story, and the VRYSTAD (Free State + City) series seeks to capture the character and sense of each place (genius loci). The photos also represent a journey through the Free State and a search for the moment that perfectly represents the uniqueness of each town. Under the surface of each photograph lies a deeper understanding of the captured moment.

VRYSTAD was exhibited in July 2016 at the Vrynge Festival, which forms part of the Vrystaat Arts Festival and later exhibited in September 2016 at ‘Inextricable’, which is part of the Urbanflo’s Digital: Diaspora series in Brighton, UK.
