CASE Europe Digest Cover Jan/Feb 2017

I was commissioned by Council for Advancement and Support of Education Europe Division to design the cover art for the January /February 2017 CASE Europe Digest. This is an online publication that brings together sector news, thought leadership events and resources in one place for those who work in alumni relations, communications, fundraising and marketing at European educational institutions and nonprofits.

The theme of this issue was educational trends and forecasts for 2017.  The articles cover a wide range of areas from alumni to donor to content in general, but they all are "predicting" where things are headed.

The weathervane lets the concept of force/change/movement be introduced. Weathervanes are not static, and the essays are predicting where education is headed / which way the winds are blowing. The "Be warned" essay in the publication also notes how we did not see the "warning signs" of Brexit/Trump so it's important to pay attention to the signs.

The globe showcases the international nature of the topic and the need to broaden our outlook beyond our own borders for alumni and donors and increase our global relevance. The gears mean we need motion to make things move forward.

The data/charts reflects the metrics, which will be part of the Metrics and Standards of Practice Project by CASE.

The cell phone and the hash tag speech bubble reflect one of the essays about content and the digital nature of our communications.

The clouds and money reference crowd funding, online giving, and donor impact from another essay in the piece.
