THE PROBLEM

The Royal Academy of Dance holds an annual Summer Dance School for dance students aged 8-18 from all over the world. They produce merchandise unique to each event for students to take home as mementoes of their time dancing in London. I was asked to produce a design for the 2016 event.

 THE SOLUTION

The design had to translate across a whole range of products and appeal to dancers within the 8-18 age group, regardless of gender or cultural background. Due to printing restrictions, the design was limited to two or three colours. With this in mind, I created a minimalist text-based design using bright colours to reflect summer and the fun nature of the dance school.
