The clock was first installed in 1410, making this the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world and the oldest one still operating. The part of the clock in the drawing is the Astronomical Dial, which shows the medieval perception of the Universe: the Earth as the center. The clock is not only able to measure time, but also tracks the movement of stars and the phases of the moon, making this one of the most advanced astronomical devices during its early years.
