La ciudad como sede del imaginario distópico tiene sus orígenes ya en la década del 80. La literatura y el cine fueron capaces de crear y recrear estos mundos futuros, abordándolos desde su carácter fantástico e inverosímil. Si bien siempre se apeló al género utópico, la distopía, su contracara, es el género que mejor representa los miedos de una sociedad. Ciudades cada vez más inteligentes y dispositivos tecnológicos en la vida cotidiana actual concretan aquellas predicciones acerca del alienamiento del hombre frente al progreso.
Tomando como eje central el alienamiento del hombre frente a la tecnología y su estandarización, este festival invita a jóvenes, grandes y chicos a conocer estos mundos distópicos a través de lecturas, proyecciones, charlas, exposiciones, proyecciones, música y performance para situarnos en estas realidades aparentes y reflexionar acerca de estos futuros no tan ficticios.

The city as the home of the dystopian imaginary has its origins as early as the 80's. Literature and film were able to create and recreate these future worlds, addressing them from its fantastic and implausible character. Although always appealed to the utopian genus, dystopia, its counterpart, is the genre that best represents the fears of a society. Increasingly intelligent cities and technological devices in today's everyday life concretely predict the alienation of man against progress.
Taking as a central axis the alienation of man against technology and its standardization, this festival invites young people, big and small to know these dystopian worlds through readings, projections, talks, exhibitions, projections, music and performance to place ourselves in these Apparent realities and reflect on these not so fictitious futures.
