My first ever go using any software to do a design for the upcoming Lewis Hamilton design competition. I normally hand draw all my designs but decided to try my hand at something new and i used Adobe Illustrator on one of my college computers in the breaks between lessons. It took me a week to create with a lot of trial and error with my lack of knowledge on digital design. However i am pleased with my first attempt and will hopefully be investing in new software to strengthen my skills.
The helmet features a lion and the quote "Powerful Beyond Measure" which Hamilton has tattooed on his chest. In the yellow band along the front is the name "Aki" in tribute to Hamiltons friend Aki Hinsta who sadly died last year. The helmet design also features the colored star of Grenada from which Hamilton has heritage and along the strip at the front is the famous green and blue band similar to Hamiltons idol Ayrton Senna. And finally the helmet features 3 stars one for each of Hamilton world championships and one final one on top symbolizing his goal of winning a fourth. Surrounding the final star a little musical note patterns as i know that music is close to his heart. All red colors on the design would be Hamiltons favorite candy apple red.
