This Project was for the purpose of the national contest 48 hour repack. We had 48 hours with our teams to create a solution for one of 3 packaging problems; batteries, deli meat, or cereal boxes as well as branding our idea.
Ior this project I worked with an industrial design and illustration students and helped with the branding and packaging design. The Illustration student drew the designs and the industrial design student built and came up with how the package would function.
Volt, is a revolutionary, interactive battery experience. Utilizing a rotational sleeve, and an interior storage cylinder, Volt easily distributes batteries for use and stores the rest for later. Unlike traditional battery boxes, which spill batteries upon opening and are forgotten; Volts’ presence in the room or drawer stores your batteries in style. Volt’s design allows for easy battery disposal, with a prewritten return address printed on the bottom capsule for hassle free recycling. When all the batteries have been used and stored in the bottom capsule, simply detach the bottom piece and mail back to the company with the printed address and pre-paid shipping.
