Sacramento State Alumni Newsletter
Objective
Sac State wanted to create a new publication that would connect to their high-income alumni. Content would highlight success stories of older alumni and feature stories about alumni recognition, new programs benefitting current students, and upcoming events. The goal was to engage alumni who may have disconnected with the university and encourage them to get involved in supporting Sac State through donations and event attendance.

Solution
I created a design that would instill a sense of prestige, elegance and nostalgia in the readers. Using paper textures that would be associated with hand-written letters and certificates, I designed the piece to inspire feelings of warmth, pride and the successful history of an established university that would remind alumni of why they loved Sac State. The newsletter was eight oversized pages printed on uncoated stock that made it feel like a high-quality, organic newspaper in the hands.
