Powderkeg is a non-commissioned project under the Captain Morgan Identity. Powderkeg is a rum bottle inspired by modern speakeasies, black powder barrels, and vintage ceramic rum jugs.
The bottle's paper label displays a "spiced cola" front that, when burned away, reveals the actual rum label. The addition of the Captain Morgan brand on the spiced cola label in unison with the meticulously used word "spiced" gives the viewer a sense that the beverage is not as it seems. But only those who are already privileged with the label's functionality will know to burn it.
