Henry Fox Talbot Monogram

William Henry Fox Talbot (1800–1877)
I was assigned to design a monogram for William Henry Fox Talbot, a British scientist, inventor and photography pioneer who invented the salted paper and calotype processes, precursors to photographic processes of the later 19th and 20th centuries. For inspiration I turned to his photographic work, specifically his “photogenic drawings” of various botanical specimens. Talbot is also credited with the discovery of a negative (although the term was applied later).
