Metamorphosis is a project that encompasses this concept joining present and past. As a space, in this case a district, can be transformed thanks to and through the people who live in it, a neighborhood struggle for a quality of life and rights.
A look back to see the way traveled, not to forget who we were, who we are and what we want to be. Metamorposis is part of the work carried out by Kim Manresa, photos made between the 70s and 80s and published in the book “Nou Barris, 25 anys”. Photos and a book that reflect the history lived by its people and how they managed to change a district.
Metamorphosis wants to explain the perseverance of the neighbors who managed to transform the space, shaping it into small photo collages with photos of before and after. A trail of struggle, a struggle that continues to improve a neighborhood, a district, a city, a world and the quality of life of those who live in it.
