Summary:
The existing campus of Ohlone College is built during the 60ties. The architecture is inspired by the nearby Mission San Jose de Guadalupe.
This building gathers under one roof the presently scattered student services and provides one stop orientation to the first time visitors. The building is an important gateway to campus, a focus of the student activities and a beacon of the college composition. The functional, symbolic, and aesthetic integration with existing environment is achieved through attention to architectural scale, massing, materials, colors and details.

The building introduces new elements to campus architecture: long structural spans, natural light and ventilation to most of the spaces, under floor air distribution system.
