Cantonese opera is one of the major categories in Chinese opera, originating in southern
China’s Cantonese culture. The basic features or principles are music, singing, martial arts,
acrobatics and acting. Most of the plots are based on Chinese history and famous Chinese
classics and myths.

My target in this project is a campaign that create a new indentity for the Cantonese Opera
museum and to reinforce and support the development of Cantonese opera, in order to
inspire people’s general impressions.
A logo was created to reflect the dynamic movement of the cantonese opera as well as
referencing the facial make up.
A booklet was designed to give the visitor information about the museum and a brief history
about Cantonese Opera. The booklet contains two different languages, Chinese and English.
By knowing that the Chinese’s reading method is different from the English, I simply put
Chinese text on one side and english on the other. Therefore, you can read the English side
from left to right, and right to left for the Chinese side.
