If you've ever worked in-house you know one of the most challenging projects is the Annual Report, with input, content and revisions from every department as well as collaboration between designers to make it all happen. If your organization is like mine, they always want some cool design that still must fit within the brand guidelines. 

This year we are lucky because it's the first printed annual report created for the organization. The one and only time there's no pressure to create a print piece better than last year! 

We are still artists, and there is always a need to detach yourself from the computer and draw. We printed out each draft, layered it with a piece of tracing paper, and drew the layout. This helped us envision how to design the content. It's also just fun work and draw possible plans with another artist. 

There's a strategic reason behind each element on every page. The design was combed through more than 100 times to make sure we delivered the right image and message for the audience. This is a carefully crafted document.
