Comment is a newspaper project about merge of old and new mediums and the ways they could meet each other in odd circumstances to catch a eye of readers. I am not a big online comments reader myself but it seems to me that the comments there have a big influence over the articles as the phenomena itself diminishes the author and creates the new, much polar, understanding of certain articles. My work started to develop after reading an Estonian daily online newspaper called Päevaleht. It was then when I realized importance of the comments, after that I read good few of them. I made the selection and divided them into groups by character. I found theoretical similarities on my own thoughts and those of Roland Barthes in his essay called The Death Of The Author. I then altered the original newspaper articles and created a new version of it using my own chosen comments from the website where every page is represented into a certain stereotyped column.
