Urban Green Council wanted to try a new direction for their 2016 annual fundraising gala. In an effort to minimize printing expenses that could be used for the event itself, UGC decided to forgo a formal invitation and instead opted for a simple save-the-date postcard, which then directed guests to purchase tickets online. Employing a fresh take on the established concept of "building a greener New York," the 5x7 postcard needed bold and engaging artwork that would distinguish it from mailers and coupons. It also needed to include all the event information, as well as a list of gala sponsors, while adhering to USPS printing regulations. A digital version of the artwork was also created and featured on the gala event page.
