LFC 2017 Calendar (Mock-up)
This is a series of original illustrations and designs inspired by the Liverpool Football Club.
Calendar Designs (January - June)
The concept of the designs is based on the weekly #MyLFCMatchdayImage (Check it out on Twitter and Insta). Tried my own doodles but never quite made it to the final shortlist. Put together a few of these posters and the idea took off.
Since it was the year end and I had a one month 'winter' break; why not?
Klopp Illustration & Calendar (Back)
The first two designs I did was for the month of May & June. The concept was to visually represent the players (and the club) through simple shapes and elements. After further edits and drafts, the theme of this series became more evident.

Got autographs of Klopp, Sturridge, Luis Garcia & Ian Rush on my original illustration of Jurgen Klopp!
Calendar Designs (July - December)
Challenging myself further, I did not only want to create a conventional calendar stand but something more. With reference to other calendar designs found on Behance & Pinterest, I managed to design and play around with the die-cuts to create a calendar frame (see below) as such.
Calendar Frame & Card (Front)
Gathered a sizeable amount of feedbacks and interest on the calendar based on the initial designs. The responses were generally positive. After reviewing those suggestions, I went on to produce an actual mock-up and opened up the first wave of pre-orders.
Using only my personal Facebook, Instagram & Carousell account (thanks social media), as well as shout-outs from the Official Liverpool Supporters Club Singapore, I was able to sell out most of the 150 calendars printed.

June
In partnership with the local fan club, I also pledged $5 from each calendar sold to be donated to their partner charity - Melrose Home Children's Aid Society. Till date, $700 has been raised.
I hereby thanks all my friends and fans of Liverpool for the kind words and support. It's my first time trying out on product design (kinda) and selling my personal design works; and I am really heartened by the responses and help offered.
Calendar Cards
Delivering these calendars personally has also allowed me to meet fellow fans and supporters of the club. I'm proud to say football is more than a sport (yes cliche, but whatever), it is a language, an art that transcends all age, gender and race.
