Ko-lantern.
The lantern project asked for a lantern to be made with only bamboo, paper, and craft glue. The lantern was to be inspired from an assigned piece of art, encoded and decoded, in order to reach the final product.
Ko-lantern, affectionately named after the Kolam art form, is a 3D representation of how simplicity works with complexity in every day life in order to create balance and harmony. Together, they surround the center and become focused on one point inwards, similarly to how we as individuals battle with both good and bad within ourselves. While the shadows and light patterns expand outwards to show the projections that we give towards the world.
