SAUSAGE AND MEAT | MURAL DESIGN
'Sausage and Meat' is a sausage inspired restaurant for meat-loving enthusiasts in San Diego, California. Their main dishes all incorporate pig products with a tasteful twist. 'Sausage and Meat' is also a hot-spot for locals to grab a casual drink and bite to eat at after work hours.
The owners of 'Sausage and Meat' hired me to create a 25' x 14' mural on the outside wall of their restaurant. The purpose of the mural was to increase brand awareness, and show off the entertaining, unique atmosphere of the restaurant. The mural was restricted to only black and white paint, as color was not approved by the city.
The mural was also used as a social experiment. Through the use of #SAUSAGEANDMEAT the owners were able to successfully track the mural on all social media platforms. It quickly became an iconic spot for family photos, selfies and encouraged many passing individuals to try the food.
