GIRL EFFECT LIVE - 2014
On Sunday 20th July 2014 the Nike Foundation / Girl Effect movement created a day of celebration, creation and conversation about the power of girls to break the cycle of global poverty. Throughout the day there were spoken word performances, comedy, DJs, live graffiti, workshops, immersive theatre by Punchdrunk, and many more surprises. In the evening there was the opportunity to celebrate the potential of girls all around the world and the achievements of the day, including gigs by Jessie J and Sasha Ware at Village Underground. Attendees were asked to help alert the world to the amazing potential of girls, to be inspired and join the Girl Effect movement.
